Who runs Ambio Life Sciences
Co-founders Jonathan Dickinson (CEO) and Trevor Millar (COO). The clinic says Dickinson published the clinical guidelines for ibogaine detox that our five checks are based on. Its Chief Medical Officer, José Inzunza, is a paramedic and American Heart Association instructor, not a physician. Dr. Cristian Torres is listed as Medical Director for the Mexico team and Ruby Arvizu as Medical Manager. The Malta clinic has its own physicians.
Is Ambio Life Sciences legit?
Ambio Life Sciences is an operating clinic in Tijuana as of our October 2026 check, with a 4.5 Google rating from 52 reviews. Ambio is the most studied clinic on this list, and its published program prices are among the clearest in Mexico. In January 2026 it disclosed a patient death in its detox program and tightened its detox rules, including a 21-day minimum stay for fentanyl users. Weigh its neurological program claims separately from its core detox work.
Ambio treated the 30 special-operations veterans in the 2024 Stanford Medicine study published in Nature Medicine; no serious cardiac events were reported in that group. It does not publish its clinic addresses and has no inbound phone line; contact is by email.
On the record- January 2026. Ambio announced that a patient died while in its detoxification program. It gave no cause, citing the family’s privacy, and said it would add stricter screening, longer detox stays and a minimum 21-day stay for anyone using fentanyl before treatment.
