There is no legal ibogaine treatment in Florida. Ibogaine is a Schedule I controlled substance under federal law, no Florida clinic can administer it, and unlike Texas or Colorado, Florida has not introduced ibogaine legislation of any kind.
What Florida does have is geography. The Caribbean clinic corridor around Cancún sits closer to South Florida than most American cities do, which is why Floridians are heavily represented among US ibogaine patients. Here is the honest picture.
Seven states introduced ibogaine research or access bills in 2025, per the Legislative Analysis and Public Policy Association: Arizona, Kentucky, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Texas and Washington. Florida was not among them, and no ibogaine bill has appeared in Tallahassee since. The April 2026 federal executive order directing the FDA and DEA to build a research and Right to Try pathway may eventually matter everywhere, but it has not opened any legal treatment route in Florida.
Treat any Florida operation advertising on-site ibogaine as a serious red flag: it would be operating outside the law and, more importantly, outside any medical accountability. Some Florida rehab brands publish ibogaine content, but the treatment they describe happens abroad.
Nonstop flights from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and Tampa reach Cancún in roughly ninety minutes to two hours. That puts the Caribbean-coast clinics in Cancún, Playa del Carmen and Cozumel within a shorter door-to-door trip than flying across the country, and the stronger clinics on that coast are among the few in Mexico that publish physician names and monitoring protocols. Clinics arrange pickup at Cancún airport; Cozumel adds a ferry or short hop-flight.
Published prices in July 2026 run from about $3,500 to $30,000 depending on program length and medical depth, with most standard 7-day detox programs between $7,500 and $15,500. The cost guide lists every published price, including which clinics publish nothing.
Whatever clinic you shortlist, the screening bar is the same: a 12-lead EKG reviewed before dosing, ACLS-trained staff present, continuous cardiac monitoring, and a stated plan for the nearest hospital.
